10 - Ground Fund

Ground fund is the term used for the assets of the club should it cease to operate and the subsequent distribution of those assets to the membership by way of shares held.

No member can hold more than 10 shares.

The number of shares held by a member is based on the number of relevant paid memberships that they have paid over the last 10 years.

For each year of relevant paid up membership a member will receive 1 share.

A share obtained in the current financial year will still have value to the member until the 11th year when it ceases to exist.

Shares are not transferable.

If a share holder dies their shares cease to exist.

When a full playing member decides to stop playing for the club the General management committee will decide if the member can stay on as a non playing member to maintain or increase the shares they hold or become an Honorary member.

If they are not permitted to stay on as a non playing member the shares they accrued whilst a playing member will continue to be theirs until they drop off on the 10 year rule or they die.

I the event the club folds the clubs assets will be divided by the total number of shares held by its members to determine the share value and then paid out to the members dependant on how many shares they own.
